CBS were contracted by Ringway Jacobs to install HVM bollards around the station at Highbury & Islington as part of a larger hard landscaping upgrade of the surrounding area. The works took place throughout the various levels of the national lockdown and constantly maintained social distance and safe working practices throughout without compromising our operational team or the public’s safety.
The scheme was successfully completed despite several operational challenges of working in such a busy environment, and also due to the numerous obstruction and the restrictions of working above a Network Rail asset.
These Streetscape works were varied and included:
- Reinforcement steel fixing
- Concrete works
- Yorkstone paving, setts and kerb laying
- Storm water drainage
- Signage installation
- Micro surfacing
